# Earth Day 2026: Let's protect what matters

   Film by Leslie Von Pless and Mohammad Shahhosseini    This Earth Day, as American environmental protections are under attack like never before, Environmental Defense Fund asked people across the country a simple question: what’s worth protecting?

From coast to coast, people shared what matters most to them, through text messages, comments, photos and videos. The responses are personal, powerful, and deeply human: from everyday moments in nature to concerns about air quality, health and the future we’re leaving behind.

This inspiring video brings those voices together, making it clear that protecting the environment isn’t only about nature — it’s about the people we love, our health, our communities and the lives we want to live. We are at a pivotal moment. Together, our choices can shape what happens next.
